This App describes the results of our first clinical study of reduced toxicant prototype cigarettes. The results show that it is possible to reduce smokers exposure to cigarette smoke toxicants. We don’t know whether reduced toxicant cigarettes reduce health risks. But given the numbers of people who smoke and are likely to continue to smoke for the foreseeable future, we believe reducing smokers’ exposure to smoke toxicants is an important research objective.
